US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday night that American forces had struck three nuclear sites in Iran, calling the operation “very successful” and declaring that the time for peace had come.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform.
Trump said all US planes were outside of Iranian airspace and were on their way back to their bases shortly after 7:50 PM EST.
“A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow,” the US president said. “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”
